Justin Jay (Sakamoto) Hanohano, 26, of Hilo, died May 9 at Hilo Medical Center. Born Jan. 14, 1986, in Hilo, he was a tattoo artist.

Friends may call at 10 a.m. May 17 at Thy Word Ministries, 2085 Awapuhi St., Hilo, for an 11 a.m. service. Burial follows at Mauna Kea Memorial Park, Papaikou. Family requests casual attire be worn and no flowers.

He is survived by wife, Chante Hanohano, of Hilo; daughter, Lexani Hanohano, of Hilo; mother, Gay (Anthony, Sr.) Veriato, of Mountain View; sister, Jessica Sakamoto, of Hilo; stepsisters, K.C. (Mark) Arnold, of Kurtistown, Jessica Veriato and Jaydi Veriato, both of Mountain View; stepbrother, A.J. Veriato, of Mountain View; grandparents, Eugene (Elaine) Young, of Honolulu; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
